Leaving Footprints of the Gospel in PERU.
Serving the Children of Iquitos
In Iquitos, we are dedicated to supporting children in a local community by addressing both their physical and spiritual needs. Each week, we provide a meal to help fight hunger, offer assistance with schoolwork to support their education, and teach them about the Bible to encourage their faith. As the children experience these changes, their parents are noticing a positive shift in their behavior and attitudes. Many parents are becoming more involved in their children's lives as they see the transformation firsthand. This has led to more parents asking questions and becoming more open to the gospel. This ongoing outreach is about building trust, providing hope, and creating opportunities for these children and their families to thrive.
Reaching Communities Along the Amazon
Our outreach extends far beyond Iquitos as we travel by boat to reach remote communities along the Amazon River. These journeys allow us to connect with isolated villages, bringing the gospel and encouragement to local pastors and church members. Mission teams play a vital role in this effort by hosting Vacation Bible School (VBS) for children, assisting with church construction, and supporting community projects. By working alongside local churches, we help strengthen their outreach and impact within the community. This ministry offers a meaningful way to serve, bring hope, and make a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.
Ministry Opportunities in Lima, Peru
Missionary teams have the opportunity to partner with local churches in Lima to engage in inner-city ministry, sharing the gospel and bringing the hope of Jesus to the community. Beyond the city, teams travel to the Ventanilla District to support a local church that provides meals, primarily to school-age children. The positive impact on the children has inspired parents to become more involved, creating opportunities for the gospel to reach entire families. When teams are present, and funds are available, meals are also offered to parents, extending care to the broader community.
Additionally, we provide business training and financial support to help locals start their own businesses, empowering them to achieve greater stability and independence. Teams assist with distributing meals and supporting the church’s educational, business, and Bible teaching programs, helping to strengthen the church’s outreach and impact. This ministry offers a meaningful way to serve, bring hope, and foster both spiritual and economic growth in the lives of those in need.
